my 10 month old baby has hand foot mouth infection and is refusing food and is only of breastfeeding is it okay

Dr.Sukanyaa.SMom of 2 children3 years agoA. if he is having oral ulcers then he wil not prefer to eat solid foods as it may hurt and cause pain. You can apply honey (if already introduced to the baby) over the ulcer to reduce pain. and give him warm fluids to hydrate and reduce pain. consult ur doctor for pain killer ointments. It is a totally harmless infection and the baby might recover within 2-3 days time.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 10 m old boy3 years agoA. Most babies look flushed and feel warmer when they have a fever. Loss of appetite, crankiness, body aches, sweating, and shivering are all common effects of a fever.
