Q.

mu baby is 4 months old.he is 1month preterm baby with 2.350kg.now he is 7.5kg.doctors saying this as a overweight. is this a overweight?. is overweight is a problem?

A. yes the child is overweight but no treatment is given at this age if the child is not having any other complaint in your case a medical examination is required for proper diagnosis and treatment. difficult to tell without examination whether it is normal or not. advisable to remain in contact with your doctor for proper guidance and treatment

A. Yes, excess weight gain can still be a concern for babies. Experts at Harvard University note that babies that gain too much weight in their first 2 years can have a higher risk or health problems in their childhood and even adult years.
