Feed in Small Amounts – Instead of large feeds, offer smaller amounts more frequently. Burp Properly – Always burp your baby after every feed to release trapped air. Hold Upright After Feeding – Keep your baby upright for 15-30 minutes after feeding to prevent reflux. Check for Overfeeding – If vomiting happens after every feed, ensure you are not feeding too much at once. Monitor for Illness – If vomiting is accompanied by fever, diarrhea, weight loss, or dehydration (no wet diapers for 6+ hours), consult a pediatrician immediately. Consider Formula or Milk Intolerance – If on formula, try a different brand after discussing with the doctor. If breastfeeding, check if any foods in your diet are causing discomfort.
Occasional spit-up is normal, but if vomiting is frequent, forceful, or persists for more than a few days, seek medical advice.
