Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could be assocvciated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. hello ypu can put nasal drops which can be helpful and also you can give indirect steam and in regards to the other medications it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly
