Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. constipation in children is common in which diet modification is required that is including high fibres in the diet for which you can give seasonal fruits like papaya, watermelon and seasonal vegetables will also help you can give daliya , oatsmeal also to your child which is rich in fibres and nutrients tooo.
giving excess of milk may also cause constipation, so you should limit its quantity.also avoid banana which may aggravate .lactulose or polyethylene glycol is of good help, sorbilene is also an option but you should give any medicine or suppository only when prescribed by your pediatrician.. medication is the secondary option.diet modification is the key.plenty of liquids are of great help too.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Constipation is a problem where there is difficulty in passing the stools and it could be very hard leading to sometimes injury and it becomes a chronic condition in most of the cases if not treated properly .
most important thing is a proper diet with good fibre and plenty of liquids . Also avoidance of food which can aggravate the condition like Banana excess of milk and food with maida and junk .
medicationvs should be givenv like lactulose or polyethylene glycol but only in guidance with the doctor.
In emergency situation glycerine suppository or enema is useful.
