ExpertDR MINAL ACHARYANutritionist1 week agoA. dear mum, what was the birth weight and the current weight? if your baby is gaining adequate weight at least 500 grams per month and is passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours then do not worry. you should continue to exclusively breastfeed baby on demand.

DivyaMom of a 1 m old boy1 week agoA. My baby is 1 month old. He passes stool only once a day, but urinates about 6–7 times a day. Is this normal? He is now exclusively breastfed. How many feeds should he have in a day? Our pediatrician advised us to stop formula milk and give it only rarely if absolutely necessary. The doctor said that because we were bottle-feeding, the baby was refusing to breastfeed properly, not sucking well, and crying a lot. Now, when he cries, I breastfeed him, and after a short while he latches on and drinks well. Is it okay to feed him only when he cries or shows hunger cues, or should I breastfeed him every 2 hours even if he doesn't cry?
