Cold is most of the time because of some allergy or viral infection and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough and throat irritation and usually associated . Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . steam inhalation would be beneficial . Medicines like febrrx plus / sinarest / Ascoril flu can be used in a proper dosje for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is very helpful .

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to weather changes around the child. For cold you can give syp maxtra 2.5 ml to the child 2 times per day. try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal blockage and simple cough and cold. Indirect steam can also be given. Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger diluted with water combination and turmferic with milk at least 2 times per day. Give warm water to drink If no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor
