medicine for common cold and runny nose for 17 months old twins (a boy and a girl baby) and any remedies for nose block at night they find difficult to sleep in cold

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to weather changes around the child.
For cold you can give syp maxtra 5 ml to the child 2 to 3 times per day.
try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal blockage and simple cough and cold. Indirect steam can also be given.
Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water combination and tuurmeric with milk at least 2 times per day.
Give warm water to drink
If no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Saline solution is the only safe nasal spray for babies, infants, and toddlers. To use saline solution, lay the baby down on their back and, if possible, slightly tilt their head back (don't force it, though). Then spray two to three drops of saline spray into each nostril.
