A. At six months, you can start introducing solid foods along with continued breastfeeding or formula. Begin with soft, easily digestible, single-ingredient foods. Good first options include: Rice or moong dal water Mashed banana, stewed apple, or pear Boiled and mashed carrot or sweet potato Rice cereal or ragi porridge Moong dal khichdi (well mashed) Start with one food at a time and wait 2–3 days before introducing a new one to check for any allergies. Avoid salt, sugar, honey, cow's milk, and processed foods. Offer food once or twice a day, gradually increasing as your baby shows interest.
