Q.

Many parents and doctors now a days suggest starting solids at around 4 months by giving fruit juice, soup or moong dal pani.. is it correct to start at this stage?

A. I don't recommend.. Breast milk is the recommended source of nutrition for infants, especially during the first six months of life. Its better to wait till 6 months by that time baby's bowel will be mature enough to accept semi solid foods WHO and UNICEF recommend that babies be fed nothing but breast milk for their first 6 month
