mam my 4 yrs toddler is suffering from cough since 14 august n sometimes he vomits while coughing wht to do

sheetal panditaMom of a 4 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. since 14 August means more than 45 days , I hope u have shown him to his pediatrician? if any medication is not working on him then go for home remedies.. give him Tulsi ( basil leaves) 2-3 in half cup of water boil it and add cinnamon a pinch, 1 cardamom, black pepper powder a pinch bring it a boil.. after that when it get luke warm add small spoon full of honey and give it to ur baby.. u can give this twice ( morning+ evening) it will enhance his immunity and give him relief in coughing.. with this u can also use medicines there is not reaction.. my mom use to give this remedy using since childhood and now i m also giving same to my baby who is just 18 months.. don't worry and try this( if ur baby is allergic to any ingredients among these u can skip it also) God bless & good luck

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators uor antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.i if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
