A. Start Slow: Introduce only one new food at a time in small quantities (1-2 teaspoons). Consistency Matters: At 6 months, the food should be a smooth puree or well-mashed (like dal water, rice mash, or fruit purees). Don’t Force-Feed: If the baby refuses, don't force them. Try again after some time or the next day. Breast Milk is Still Key: Solid food is just an introduction; breast milk (or formula) should remain the primary source of nutrition. Gap Between Meals: Ensure there is a 2-3 hour gap between milk and solid food so the baby feels hungry. Avoid Salt and Sugar: Do not add salt, sugar, or honey to the baby's food until they are 1 year old.
