Ma'am my new born daughter is 7 days old and she is doing potti many times a day ..is that this is normal or any treatment she need?

A. Yes, it's completely normal for a 7-day-old newborn to pass stool many times a day—sometimes after every feed. This is especially common in breastfed babies, as breast milk is easily digested and stimulates bowel movements. As long as your baby is feeding well, gaining weight, and the stool is soft and yellowish, there is no need for treatment. Frequent pooping at this stage is usually a sign that your baby’s digestive system is working well. However, if the stool is watery, green with mucus, or if the baby shows signs of discomfort or dehydration, consult your pediatrician.
