A. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry. Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally andg paracetamol can be given for fever or pain. Thsrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

A. Apply ice pack on the injection site: Soon after your baby gets a vaccination shot, the site of the injection might swell and get inflamed causing immense pain and discomfort. To ease the pain, apply ice-packs gently on the site. This will help her counter the pain and soothe the inflammation.
