prefer fibre rich diet as khichdi Dalia oats etc with added fruit and vegetables .
give breastmilk on demand.
start iron calcium and multivitamin regularly. .

No At the age of eight months a child should be a minimum of 8 KG or more than that so it is definitely not overweight it is little less than the regular wait okay so you do not have to worry about it your child is pretty much appropriate as of now so work on getting two more KG is in another two months
