Q.

is it normal for 6 month old not to pee for 12 hrs while sleeping and then pee for 3 to 4 times after waking? also there is gap of 6hrs in day time also my baby passed urine like below..is this a problem 1. day 1 morning 10 am 2. day 1 evening 4.30pm 3. day 1 evening 5 pm 4. day 1 evening 5.40 pm 5. day 2 morning 6 am ( nearly 12 hrs gap) 6. day 2 morning 6.30am 7. day 2 morning 7 am 8. day 2 morning 7.45 am 9. day 2 morning 9 am should I give more water...he is 6 month 2 days old

A. yes possible urinary pattern in small children is totally different. they may pass more than 20 times per day urine also and sometimes they will pass urine again and again in only one hour. the minimum requirement would be more than 7 times in 24 hours. if it is less give more breast feeding or milk and if it is more no need to worry if the child is not having any other complaint. there is no problem if the urine frequency is normal and the child is not passing urine at night

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and baby should pee minimum six to eight times a day and also you should give your baby up to four ounces of water or liquid Ina day at least. Take care
