Is EC scan safe for 1 month old? My son is having left hydrenophrosis and in 1 month KUB scan flattening of papilae detected, doctor suggested to do EC scan done. Is this mandatory to perform?

A. Mam if the doctor is suggesting you should get it done though it is not a very good idea to get the scan done in a very small as a child is very very small but if there is a condition where you have to get it done then there is no option to other than proceeding with what your doctor advising

Q. #asktheexpert Good morning Doctor, My wife did her anamoly scan in 18-22 weeks in that it was detected " prominent bilateral renal pelvis", After that in III trimester scan it says" prominent right renal pelvis", After birth of my son a scan was conducted on 4th day and the scan said " everything is normal", today after 1 and half month the scan says" Mild prominence of left pelvis dia 5mm. plz guide us attaching all reports
