Q.
Is calcium supplement necessary to babies ? My baby is 7 month old now. My 2nd Pediatrician has stopped calcium supplement prescribed by 1st Pediatrician when my baby was 2 months old. I enquired other relatives and came to know that it is necessary to give calcium. So totally confused. please assist me.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. until and unless the child is malnourished or the child growth is not proper than there is no need to give calcium supplements to the child because it is freely available in the regular diet the child is taking

Manali K MehtaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hi parent it is not compulsory please give easily digestible food like curd rice and khichdi vegetable soup and upma daliya sheera khir porridge etc please give daily massage with Babyhug coconut oil please give daily sun light exposure
