Is 4.2 kg a good weight but doctor said it’s over weight

ExpertVandana SharmaNutritionist2 days agoA. Namaste Mom, All depends on their birth weight as such , monthly weight gain is expected in the range of 400 gm to 1 kg and by the age of 4 to 6 months they double their birth weight.

Rashida KSSMom of 3 children13 hours agoA. my baby 7 week old baby weighs 5.750 kg .He was born weight 3.100.he gained two kg in one month.my doctor said I should feed only 7 Feed a day.. I am breast feeding my baby.

Ma’am what was the birthdate of the child first you have to see that because a child is expected to gain at least 500 g to maximum 1 kg in a month on top of the birthweight so I don’t know how much as your child gained what is the total gain is on the basis of the breastfeeding then it’s not a problem also it is not overweight because kids in India even take birth with 4 1/2 kg so for a one month old kid this is an excellent
