Q.

Is 37 weeks considered as preterm ? By baby was born at 37 weeks, 2.5 kg. He was not taken to NICU after birth but developed jaundice later and then shifted to NICU. He also had problem in sucking breast milk which he learnt after 2 weeks. Are these problems happened because of early delivery ? I had immediate c section due to water breakage.

A. Hello dear parent, 38 weeks and above baby is considered as full term. 37th week is also near about. So not much is the difference between 37 th and 38th week old baby. Do nkt worry. But follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Good luck and take care
