Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. urinary pattern in small children is totally different. they may pass more than 20 times per day urine also and sometimes they will pass urine again and again in only one hour.
the minimum requirement would be more than 7 times in 24 hours. ifd it is less give more breast feeding or milk and if it is more no need to worry if the child is not having any other complaint.
there is no problem if the urine frequency is normal and the child is not passing urine at night
don't go by the diaper
in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also.
the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding.
meet the doctor for weight assessment.
if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake.
if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child
