Q.

If I have an 100.2 F fever what medication has to be taken as I am a feeding mother.please advise

A. If you have a cold or flu, fever, diarrhoea and vomiting, or mastitis, keep breastfeeding as normal. Your baby won't catch the illness through your breast milk – in fact, it will contain antibodies to reduce her risk of getting the same bug. “Not only is it safe, breastfeeding while sick is a good idea.Acetaminophen is a good choice for analgesia, and fever reduction in nursing mothers.Paracetamol passes into the breastmilk in minor quantities which has negligible effects on a child and hence Dolo 650 can be taken during breastfeeding.
