Q.

If baby got body temperature above 98.6% ,does he have a fever? Does the body temperature of baby vary according to the climate? What should be done to prevent baby from getting fever?

A. Hello, your baby boy is 5 months old and if his body temperature is 98.6 degrees then it’s not a fever so don’t give any medicine and his temperature may vary according to climetric temperature

A. hi the temperature 100f or above is considered as FeVer in babies. so,if your child has temperature 100f or above ,if it remains for more than 3 days please consult your pediatrician. please keep Breastfeeding your child as per his or her needs,it contains antibodies which help your child to fight against viral or bacterial infections. dress your child in weather appropriate clothes. provide apt sunlight atleast 20 minutes a day maintain good hygiene. yes, weather can affect your child's body temperature.
