I want to know the reason behind hiccups in new born baby

A. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach. during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups. you have to offer feeding asc well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem during hiccups just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode

A. There is no such reason behind hiccups this is a very common thing to be seen but there is no scientific thing behind it it is just going to start and stop on its own only and there is no problem with that it is not going to have any negative impact on the child so there is nothing to be worried
