Q.

I want to know about circumcision. My baby is 3 months old, i am scared to go for it right now. When should i go for it and what are the after care measures? Is it painful afterwards and for how many days? How to lessen the pain and how to care for it?

A. this is either done due to some religious rituals or it is done if indicated by a doctor for some type of Pathology or local infection or severe phimosis s. by whom so ever it is done should be done with proper aseptic measures and precautions and Paracetamol or other painkillers can be given for pain. after surgery you have to look out for any local infection for next one week

A. It’s better that you discuss the issue with the doctor because normally if you get it done early it’s easier for the child to heal with that area because that skin is very sensitive and very fine and thin right now so it’s better to talk with the doctor or the person who is going to do the procedure they will explain you everything in detail
