POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month2 months agoA. If your baby is stretching frequently at night, it’s usually normal and part of their growth and muscle development. Babies often stretch their arms and legs as a reflex or to relieve gas. However, if the stretching is accompanied by crying, disturbed sleep, or signs of discomfort, it could be due to:
Gas or tummy discomfort Colic or reflux Hunger or needing a diaper change
You can try gentle tummy massage, warm compress on the belly, or bicycle leg movements to relieve gas. Make sure your baby is burped well after feeds and is not hungry or wet. If the stretching seems excessive or your baby appears in pain or is not gaining weight well, consult a pediatrician for further evaluation.
