Q.

I used to give nan pro 1 to my child since breast milk was not forming in sufficient quantity..then one day my 2.5 month old baby cried alot becoz of stomach pain. ..when I took him to doc he changed formula milk to " similac isomil" for 21 days.. yesterday 21 days completed...so from today onwards I started giving " lactogen 1"..just 3 feeds since morning and he cried a lot due to stomach pain .. can I give him "similac isomil" soy. milk for next 3 months until he turns 6 months old... please guide...does soy milk contains all the nutrients...and it's fine to continue with isomil milk

A. There is no problem in shifting to non-lactose milk but first you have to check with your doctor to be sure about it whether your child is actually having an issue of lactose indolence or not because other than giving non-lactose milk I would advise you to take homeopathic treatment your child gets over this lactose allergy over the period
