Q.

I used mupirocin ointment in underarms boil for 1 month old baby as doctor suggested and it got cured after applying only 2 days. however can I apply this ointment on face cheeks for milk rashes or roughness to go??

A. No don’t apply it on face of the baby and kindly elaborate what kind of rashes are those and apply Cetaphil baby daily lotion on cheeks of the baby taje care

A. hi dear The recommended initial antibiotic for most children with UTI is trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim, Septra). Alternative antibiotics include amoxicillin/clavulanate (Augmentin) or cephalosporins, such as cefixime (Suprax), cefpodoxime, cefprozil (Cefzil), or cephalexin (Keflex).
