I recently purchase aveeno moisture cream for my baby as the weather over here makes my baby's face dry. is it safe for my baby.

you may use it.
but for dry skin,here I suggest some tips hope it help:
give massage to your child daily.
keep your child well hydrated.
don't give bath for more than 10 minutes.
avoid using soap while bathing your child.
