Q.

I'm trying to cut down on refined sugar and have been considering dried dates as a natural sweetener. However, I’m not sure about their taste and how versatile they are in recipes. Do they work well in baking and cooking, or are they better eaten plain? If you’ve tried using dried dates, I’d love to know how you use them and any brand recommendations for the best quality dates.

A. Yes it can be used as an alternative but not in all the recipes but definitely in baking it can be used and as a substitute to refined sugar you can try palm sugar or palm candy or jaggery powder or desi khand as they are less processed
