Q.

I'm mother of 11 month old boy..I have a hypothyroidism and I m taking my medicine Thyronorm 125mg i m breastfeeding also.my son is not gaining weight though he is eating properly. Does my thyroid effect my child weight.?His present weight is 7.5 kg Nd he was born@2.5 kg

A. by one year of age the baby should triple the birth weight. the maternal hypothyroidism doesn't affect the baby's growth in any way buy you need to have it under control

A. No Your thyroid has got nothing to do with your child’s weight gain and all these things if your child is eating well and still the wait has been constant or not increasing over the period then there is some issue with the body of the child will have to get it assessed with a child specihild
