This is a progesterone injection which will definitely cause pain and discomfort. Please apply an ice pack . DON'T apply direct ice at all will be more damaging.
Just apply the ice pack as soon as possible post the injection. At least 10-15 min application must be done. This will surely help.

They may be oil injections which your doctor is giving you and that is why the swelling is there but you still having too much of pain and swelling you can do cold compress with ice on the swelling area and the vaccination area and please check with your gynaecologist as well on this
