Q.

I have breastlumps for more than 6 weeks. I can't able to feed my 1.5 months baby. My breast is also paining. Nipples become hard due to lump as it is just above the nipple. please suggest how it can be cure. How to feed my baby?

A. Hi mommy, I know this would be a tough situation for you. You can put warm towel on your breast, it will help you. Also please see the doctor for medications. If needed pump the milk, sometimes clogs too can cause lumps. See if the doctor tells you to feed the baby along with meds. Else you can give formula milk, it's absolutely okay. You can ask the doc about formula suggestions too. My baby was on mixed feed and I used to give Aptamil Gold. Aptamil Gold stage 1 has prebiotics and HMOs which helps in growth of good bacteria in gut which helps in building immunity. Also, it's closest to breast milk as HMO is the third largest component of breast milk. Hope this helps and hope you are able to deal with this. Hugs.

A. that is need to consult the doctor take appropriate medicines even antibiotics. if there is no relief it is advisable to see the doctor for proper examination if there is need for proper investigations also both for diagnosis and treatment
