Mom of a 1 yr 1 m old child1 Year ago
Q.

I have a 5.5 year old boy with a c- section. now I am expecting my 2nd child with 37+ weeks pregnant. Doc asked me to do a previous stitches scan. She said there are chances of stitches getting opened and as per scan she will decide my due date. Is this information correct, she is not willing to go for normal delivery and also does not want to wait till 20 oct which is my actual due date?

A. Even though the gap between the two pregnancies is more than three years, still the scar thickness matters a lot. If the thickness is less, there are very high chances of the uterus to open up during the process of labor which might lead to unnecessary complications to the mother and the baby.
