Q.

I had mild thyroid during pregnancy.. was having 25mcg tablet and later reduced it to 12.5 mcg.. took test few days ago and reports seem fine.. TSH,FT3 and FT4 are all within range.. shall I stop medicine now? my baby is 3 months old now

A. see physician. see more you can ask your own treating doctor. i am sure they will solve all your doubts and guide yousee only the doctor who can see you in person can judge what is the right status. best to trust her

A. It is generally safe to breastfeed while taking antithyroid drugs to treat an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) provided the dose is low but you should check with your endocrinologist. Antithyroid drugs are best taken in smaller doses over two or three times a day following a feed.
