A. Perigestational bleeding, also known as subchorionic hematoma, occurs when blood collects between the uterine wall and the gestational sac during pregnancy. While it can be concerning, especially if accompanied by pain or heavy bleeding, it's not always dangerous. Many women with perigestational bleeding go on to have healthy pregnancies. However, it's essential to consult with a healthcare provider if you experience any bleeding during pregnancy, as they can evaluate the situation and provide guidance based on your individual circumstances. In some cases, perigestational bleeding may increase the risk of complications such as miscarriage or preterm birth, but your doctor can help manage any potential risks and monitor your pregnancy closely.
