Q.

I had a preterm delivery at 33 weeks, and my baby's birth weight is 1.385. Now she is 7 months old and her weight is 5.2. Is it normal weight gain?

A. Preemie babies may gain weight more slowly than full-term infants, but they often catch up in size around age 2.
