But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if symptomfs like excessiveg irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

No you should not repeat the doses at all because some amount of medicine has already gone inside so you don’t have to worry and you have to give a medicine only in a particular time gap. And always check the temperature before giving medicine to your baby
