Q.

I gave medicine for deworming to my 20 month old son last night, 10 ml which is 1 whole bottle. Today he passed stool and no worm. How many days will it take for the worm to come out and is it only 1 time i need to give medicine for deworming if there will be no worm in stool at all?

A. Deworming medicine needs to be given routinely to every child after one year of age and the dose is 200 mg of albendazole once at night time and then repeat the same dose after 14 days once this cycle should be repeated every v six months at least till 5 year of age but it is advisable to give this medicine only after taking guidance by your doctor

A. I went from pedia of my child first and he prescribed the deworming medicine which I gave last night. But today morning when my son passed stool there was no worm in it.

I hope you consult your doctor before giving any medicine to the child because it is not recommended to give any medicine to the child without consulting the doctor has that is not right on that part so I would recommend you to go ahead with the consultation with your doctorWrite Your Answer Here
