Q.
I am unable to breastfeed my baby as it hurts my nipples when she sucks. i used nipple creams but didn't find them useful. i also tried nipple Shields but she couldn't feed via them. i hand-express my milk and feed her through bottle. Also i try to latch her properly by putting the whole areola in her mouth but it still hurts... any suggestions would be appreciated...

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. you can apply ice over your breast in case of pain and take paracetamol tablet three times a day and take intermittent gaps in betweenand further if you are concerned you can take guidance from your doctor to get proper suggestions about it which you can follow accordingly it will be better for details
