Q.

I am mother of 4 month old baby. I had a c section and my baby was admitted to NICU due to neonatal jaundice after I was discharged from hospital. They fed him only formula milk and refused feeding my milk. After that only he spits my milk and keeps crying. So had to feed formula milk unfortunately but still I ensure to feed breast milk atleast twice a day. Will it affect his development? Is formula milk not at all recommended?

A. No It is not going to affect any development of the child formula feeding is completely healthy and safe like breastfeeding but if you are trying to breastfeeding the child and that’s very very good gradually maybe your child will accept it over the period but formula feed it is good there is nothing wrong with that
