Q.

I am breastfeeding mom to my 5 month old baby. our Dr. advised to give her formula since she is not gaining weight n also bcz I am joining to work. We have been trying to bottle feed her. but very difficulty she is having 40 ml n dat too it takes 1 hour to bottle feed her. kindly suggest how much 5 month baby should be fed?

A. Are you saying 150 ml per feed?

A. around 150-200ml of milk baby should have also it will depends on baby appetite.. you can pump out the milk and feed the baby.. as the baby turns six months.. you can give solids as ragi porridge wheat porridge rice porridge cerelac dalia sabudana puree of fruits and vegetables as potato sweet potato carrot beetroot pumpkin papaya pear sapota apple.. remember to introduce one new food one at time..
