Q.
I am a mom of 56 days old baby . its been almost 4 days that he has been coughing. what should I do? Btw, I began coughing too since 2 days and i'm lactating. is there any medicine I can take

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. This can occurs due to weather changes and temperature variations or simple cold and rarely infection.
kindly give nasal saline drops (nasoclear /nasivion s)every three hourly and since it is a salt water/saline water it does not have any side effects and can be given again and again for nasal blodckage and respiratory cough.
It will dissolve mucus in nose and throat.
For fever and pain give paracetamol
Try tox prevent temperature variations around the child and you can also give indirect steam inhalation and if there is no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor

NikithaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hello this requires a proper medical attention and it would be better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and no medication without checking your doctor
