I am a mom of 3y 2m old boy. I am regretting for not starting his potty training at early age. Now he is like so used to do potty in daiper I am unable to convince him to sit on potty seat. I tried all the ways by showing how we do potty and I showed him some videos also. But he not yet all convincing to sit on potty seat. He will pee in bathroom by sitting on potty seat but he is not doing potty. I am totally helpless what next step I can take.

Firstly stop using diapers, there can be a mess sometime but eventually he'll start pooping without diaper then you can show him the right place to poop.

So just ask for your child when you are comfortable passing urine on the commode then what is the problem with the poop you know you first need to understand what is the block in the child’s mind that you have to overcome because of the child having no fear of sitting on the commode then there could be some another mental block that the child is having the child not able to go for motion on a commode so you have to do that and constant counselling is only going to help because the age is quite much and kids actually get stubborn by this age so you just have to regularly give counselling to the child and also tell what effect are there if you do it in your pants or your diapers what kind of infection can happen it’s very unhygienic and dirty so slowly the child will learn if you keep trying
