Q.

I am a 6 months lactating mother and I am told all the time that I have to consume milk twice a day so that my body can make milk for my baby. Is it true? Because having milk is an utter difficult task for me. I just have it for the sake of my baby.

A. Consuming milk is for mother's calcium (bone health). Mother's milk is produced with more of water and carbohydrate and very little amount of protein and fat. Note: Drinking milk is still good.

A. That's a myth that you should consume milk for producing milk rather it is taken for mother's calcium fulfilment
