I am a 4-year-old boy mom he is having cold slight cough and fever he is feeling sleepy he says and sleep for long time then need to wake him up after that he will wakeup and after some time he felt sleepy again is this normal ? sleep for a long time is fine ? pls ans

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician2 weeks agoA. dear mom. if you are giving him over the counter medicine for cold n cough then might be it is due to medications. make sure to give it in right dose n frequency offer more liquids

Mam see if the child is sleeping a lot and if feeling little dull or lethargic then it could be possibility of stomach infection also child suffering with cold and cough with the medicine that you give little bit of sleep hour can increase but not a lot so please check with your doctor for sure
