Q.

I am 34 weeks pregnant .my AFI is 12.5 cm.doctor told me that it is needed to inject protein as my afi is low.is it really needed..???please answer

A. The afi estimate also requires both ultrasound assessment as well as assessment by the doctor. Although the value of 12.5 seems okay,sometimes the doctor may feel it’s less for the baby. I advise you to get another scan from a different doctor for second opinion

A. Yes It’s actually quite low so it would be advisable for you to go ahead with whatever your doctor is advising you to go for because low FI is not a good sign so it would be definitely recommend it for you to go ahead with whatever your gynaecologist is advising you
