Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go .
In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the chgild comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child .
In extreme case withdrawal cang be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl4 years agoA. Its Or normal absolutely common scenario with kids and specially when kids have their teeth after the age of three months at any point of time they can definitely do it all the days it’s not mostly out of hunger it’s mostly out of irritation into the gums
