A. Postpartum Depression is actually a phase in New first time mothers and almost everyone go through this, only difference is some understand it and some do not. As a new baby comes in home, everyone, from parents to inlaws to relatives to any one coming at home, asks about the baby only and forget to say few caring words for the mother. All focus suddenly shifts to the little one, but the one who is actually taking all the pain to take care, is left unattended. Therefore, please understand, it is good to give priority to the baby, but it is you who needs more pampering now. Do not forget to take care if yourself. Eat healthy, take time off from baby, ask for help, distribute work with your spouse, talk to to him, start going out together, exercise to look good, try on new clothes, or do whatever helps you. Do not seek help entirely from people around you. Do it yourself. Baby's arrival is a big change in life. Take it on your stride. Disconnect with people who discourage you. Talk to friends. It looks difficult, but will be easier to actually do it.
