how much weight does a mother feeding baby will gain in 45 days..I am so worried as my baby sleeps a lot..m not sure he s getting enough milk

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist4 years agoA. Dear mum, on an average baby should gain at least 500 grams per month. Babies sleep for at least 14 to 16 hours a day. If baby is active, alert, passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours then feeding is adequate.

POOJA GOSWAMIMom of a 10 yr 8 m old girl4 years agoA. In the initial few months, babies sleep most of the time, approximately 16 to 18 hours a day and that is normal. You have to wake up for the feed even if he/she is sleeping including 2-3 times in the night or in every 2-3 hours. If giving formula milk, he can consume 80-100 ml per feed and 7-8 times a day. If breastmilk, feed 8-9 times a day.
